Monsoon likely to withdraw completely from Gujarat in 2–3 days: IMD weather forecast
October 08, 2025
Junagadh: The southwest monsoon is gradually withdrawing from Gujarat and other parts of the nation, and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its latest forecast said that it is likely to withdraw completely from the state in the next 2–3 days.
According to the IMD’s synoptic situation, the line of withdrawal currently passes through Veraval, Bharuch, Ujjain, Jhansi, Shahjahanpur, and 30°N/81°E. Conditions remain favorable for further withdrawal from remaining parts of Gujarat, as well as from some areas of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra over the next few days.
Yesterday’s remnant of Cyclonic Storm “Shakhti” over the west-central and adjoining northwest Arabian Sea weakened into a well-marked low-pressure area and is expected to move east-southeastwards while weakening further over the next 12 hours. Another Western Disturbance, currently over east Haryana, is not expected to impact Gujarat.
State Weather Forecast (up to 15 October 2025):
Temperature: Maximum temperatures will remain largely unchanged for the next three days and may gradually rise by 1–2°C thereafter. Minimum temperatures are expected to remain steady over the next week.
