Ahmedabad: The Kankaria Lakefront will remain closed to the public on Saturday, October 11, due to the hosting of the prestigious 70th Filmfare Awards at Eka Club Arena, TransStadia.

According to the Recreation Department of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), the closure is part of security and event management measures. All recreational facilities at the lakefront — including Kids City, the Kankaria Zoo, Nocturnal Zoo, Balvatika, Butterfly Park, Nagina Wadi, and other attractions — will remain shut for the entire day.

The Filmfare Awards, one of the biggest events in the Indian film industry, will see a grand gathering of top Bollywood celebrities, including superstar Shah Rukh Khan and other leading actors.
