Shaktisinh Gohil Appointed PAC Subcommittee Convener

New Delhi: Rajya Sabha MP of the Congress Party and former state party president, Shaktisinh Gohil, has been appointed as the convener of a subcommittee of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Parliament’s key constitutional oversight body. Dharmendra Yadav (MP, Uttar Pradesh) has been named as the alternate convener of the Non-Compliance in Timely Submission of Action Taken Notes on the Non-Selected Audit Paragraphs & Excess Expenditure Sub-Committee.
Other members of the subcommittee include Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi, Sukhendu Shekhar Roy, Aparajita Sarangi, Praful Patel, and Nishikant Dubey.
The subcommittee will examine Action Taken Reports on audit observations and recommendations made by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) across all departments of the Government of India and prepare a report on the actions taken by each department.
