Father-Daughter Duo from Gujarat Goes Missing During Trek in Nepal
November 08, 2025
Bardoli: A father and daughter duo from Kadod in Bardoli have gone missing while trekking to Annapurna Parvat-3 in the Manang district of Nepal. Despite planning to return within 10 days, no contact has been established with them for over two weeks, prompting the family to report the matter to the Kadod Outpost Police.
According to reports, Jignesh Lallubhai Patel and his daughter Priyadarshini left Kadod on October 14 and traveled to Surat. From Surat, they reached Gorakhpur by train on October 16, crossed the Sunoli border on October 17, and arrived in Kathmandu. On October 18, they traveled by bus to Basseer and then proceeded to Manang. After staying in a hotel for two days, they began their trek to Annapurna Parvat-3 at 6 AM on October 21.
Before departing, Jigneshbhai had informed his wife, Jagrutiben, that they would return within 10 days. They were expected back on October 30 or 31, but heavy snowfall between October 26 and November 2 in Manang and surrounding areas caused road closures, preventing their return and making contact impossible. Unable to reach her husband and daughter, Jagrutiben reported the matter to the Kadod Outpost Police.
Kadod police took immediate action and informed the District Collector, who has now initiated efforts to establish contact and ensure the safe return of the father and daughter.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation, and search and communication efforts are ongoing to locate Jigneshbhai and Priyadarshini in the snowbound regions of Manang. DeshGujarat
