Nitin Gadkari inspects under-construction 6-lane Shamlaji–Mota Chiloda section of NH-48 in Gujarat

Himmatnagar: Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Wednesday inspected the ongoing works of the six-lane Shamlaji–Motachiloda section on National Highway 48 in Sabarkantha.

As the Union Minister and the Chief Minister were scheduled to pass through Rasulpur village in Prantij taluka during their journey from Himmatnagar to Chiloda, villagers welcomed them warmly.

The two leaders arrived at Motipura and reviewed key structures, including the Motipura Flyover at Ch. 492 near Himmatnagar and the VUP at Ch. 524 near Majra.

After reviewing the highway project, Gadkari directed officials to expedite the completion of the remaining structures and concrete service roads, while ensuring proper drainage systems. He also instructed strict action against agencies responsible for lapses or delays and emphasised the need to ensure strong road safety measures and smooth riding quality for commuters.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel assured the Union Minister that the Gujarat government will provide full cooperation to ensure the speedy completion of central government projects.

During the inspection in Sabarkantha, District Panchayat President Bhartiben Patel, MP Shobhanaben Baraiya, MLA V.D.
