Five IndiGo Flights to/from Ahmedabad Airport Delayed Due to Airbus A320 Software Fix
November 29, 2025
Ahmedabad: As many as five IndiGo flights arriving and departing from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport will face delays on Saturday. The disruptions come as the airline, along with other carriers like Air India and Air India Express, carries out precautionary software updates on its Airbus A320 fleet following a global advisory from Airbus and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
The affected flights include:
-
6E 075 to Jeddah, delayed from 15:25 to 17:15
-
6E 261 to Raipur, delayed from 15:50 to 16:15
-
6E 6594 to Hyderabad, delayed from 16:00 to 16:45
-
6E 6013 to Bhubaneswar, delayed from 20:25 to 20:50
-
6E 6374 from Chennai, delayed from 14:05 to 15:44
The precautionary updates are part of a wider global effort after intense solar radiation was found to potentially corrupt critical flight control data in A320 family aircraft. In India, around 330 A320 planes require software or hardware updates, which are expected to cause temporary grounding and operational disruptions.
IndiGo said it is working closely with Airbus to implement the updates while minimizing passenger inconvenience. The airline advised travelers to check flight status via its app or website and assured that safety remains the top priority.
As of 10 a.m. on Saturday, the largest budget carrier in India, whose 200 planes are affected, has completed updates on 143 of them. The remaining aircraft are scheduled to be upgraded by 5:30 IST on November 30, according to data submitted by the airline to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). DeshGujarat
