Ahmedabad: A fatal hit-and-run incident occurred on Monday morning near Vaishnodevi Circle on the SG Highway, resulting in the death of 21-year-old Kathan Kharchar. The victim, a resident of Gandhinagar, was travelling to work on his bike when an unidentified vehicle rammed into him near Nirma University and fled the scene. Kathan died on the spot due to the collision.

It is learnt that Kathan was living with his maternal uncle in Gandhinagar and worked in a private company located near YMCA Club. Following his daily routine, he left for work early in the morning. At approximately 6:30 am, near Nirma University, his bike was hit by an unknown vehicle, causing fatal injuries.

As soon as the incident was reported, the traffic police and the family of the deceased youth reached the spot. The body of the victim has been sent for post-mortem and will be handed over to the family after the procedure. The SG-1 Traffic Police have registered a case and launched a detailed investigation.
