Jamnagar: A dramatic scene unfolded on Wednesday evening when a shoe was hurled at Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Visavdar MLA Gopal Italiya during a public meeting. Italiya was addressing the gathering when a young man suddenly rushed toward the stage and flung a shoe in his direction. The footwear missed the MLA, causing no injury.

According to initial information, the youth involved has been identified as a Congress worker Chhatrapalsinh Jadeja. He was overpowered and beaten by AAP supporters immediately after the incident. Following the commotion, Italiya paused his speech and the meeting briefly descended into chaos.

The episode has drawn attention as Italiya himself had once made headlines for hurling a shoe at the then Minister of State for Home, Pradipsinh Jadeja, during a protest—an incident that significantly raised his public profile at the time.
