Several Mobile Phones Stolen from Boys’ Hostel at Narendra Modi Medical College

Ahmedabad: A theft has come to light at the boys’ hostel on the campus of Narendra Modi Medical College (LG Hospital). According to reports, an unknown person entered the hostel on December 8 and stole around eight mobile phones belonging to students.
Acting on the negligence of the security staff, the college authorities have dismissed the personnel on duty at the hostel entrance. Additionally, the agency responsible for security arrangements at the college and hostel has been fined ₹1 lakh.
The administration further stated that the liftman, who was absent at the time of the incident, has also been dismissed. A notice has been issued to the supervising authority regarding his absence.
To prevent future incidents, students have been instructed to receive food, drinks, and other courier deliveries only at the main gate of the college or hospital. Deliveries should be scheduled to arrive no later than 10:00 pm.
All relevant information, including video recordings, has been shared with the police to aid in the investigation. The college administration emphasized that strict measures are being implemented to ensure the safety and security of students on campus.
