Darshana Jardosh appointed BJP Election Co-in-charge for Assam Assembly polls

New Delhi: Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday announced that its national president J P Nadda has appointed election in-charges and co-in-charges for the forthcoming Assam Assembly elections. Among the appointments, former Union Minister and two-time Lok Sabha MP from Surat, Darshana Ben Jardosh, has been named as an Election Co-in-charge.
The party has appointed its national vice-president and Lok Sabha MP Baijayant Panda as the Election In-charge for the polls, while Darshana Ben Jardosh and Sunil Kumar Sharma, MLA and Leader of the Opposition in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, will serve as Co-in-charges.
Reacting to the appointment, Jardosh in an X post said, “I express my heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra modi ji and BJP National President J P Nadda ji for reposing trust in me and assigning the responsibility of Election Co-Incharge for the Assam Assembly Elections. This responsibility is not just an organisational role, but a commitment to strengthen the Party at the grassroots, ensure effective coordination, and work with dedication for the vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas. Under the decisive leadership of Modi ji and the able guidance of Nadda ji, the Bharatiya Janata Party continues to stand for national interest, cultural pride, inclusive development, and good governance.
