AMC sells 4 plots for Rs 441 crore

Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is set to earn Rs 441 crore after the latest sale of four plots was approved by the Standing Committee of the civic body. The move is aimed at mobilizing funds for ongoing and upcoming development projects across the city.

The civic body had initiated an online e-auction to sell 13 plots acquired under various Town Planning (TP) schemes for commercial and residential purposes. Of these 13 plots, eight were designated for commercial use and five for residential purposes, with a combined estimated value of approximately Rs 11,182 crore.

During the e-auction conducted last month, five of the 13 plots received bids. The Municipal Commissioner rejected one bid, while the remaining four were approved by the Standing Committee.

Among the four approved plots, the highest bid came for a residential plot in Shilaj TP Scheme 216. The 9,765 sq metre plot is proposed to be sold to Safal Associates for Rs 168.93 crore.

In Sola-Hebatpur TP Scheme 41, a 3,974 sq metre commercial plot is set to be acquired by Helix Infraspace for Rs 111.66 crore, while another 3,819 sq metre commercial plot in the same scheme is slated to go to Prakruti Infraspace for Rs 109.22 crore.

In East Ahmedabad, a 5,900 sq metre commercial plot in Vastral TP Scheme 113 has been sold to Nasit Asset Holding for Rs 51.92 crore. The AMC has clarified that all applicable government and semi-government taxes and charges related to the land will be borne by the buyers.
