Gandhinagar: As the new team Gujarat BJP is announced by State BJP chief Jagdish Panchal, it is interesting to have a look at the outgoing body which was formed by then Gujarat BJP chief CR Patil.

In the outgoing body, Vice Presidents were Gordhan Zadafiya, Jayantibhai Kavadiya, Mahendrasinh Sarvaiya, Nandaji Thakor,Kaushalyakunvarba Parmar, Janak Bagdanawala, Varshaben Doshi, Dr. Bharat Boghara, Mahendra Patel and Ushaben Patel.

General Secretaries were Rajnibhai Patel and Vinod Chavda, apart from RSS pracharak (full timer) Ratakar Pandey as General Secretary of Organization.

State party secretaries were Mahesh Kaswala, Raghubhai Humbal, Shitalben Soni, Zaveribhai Thakrar, Naukaben Prajapati, Jahanviben Vyas, Kailashben Parmar, Jayshriben Desai, Pareshbhai Patel and Binanen Acharya.

State party Treasurer was Surendrabhai Patel, while Office Secretary was Shrinath Shah.

When it comes to Morchas, Dr. Prashant Korat who was Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM)president is now made General Secretary of Gujarat BJP. Gautam Gediya who was Schedule Caste Morcha chief is now made State party vice president.

In outgoing body, Dr. Dipikaben Saradava was Mahila Morcha chief, Arjunbhai Chaudhary was ST Morcha chief, Hiteshbhai Patel was Kisan Morcha chief , Mayank Nayak was OBC Morcha chief, while Dr. Mohsin Lokhandwala was Minority Morcha chief.

Out of this list only two names Organizational General Secretary Ratnakar and Office Secretary Shrinath Shah continue to hold their responsibilities on same position.  Prashant Korat has and Gautam Gediya have found promotion as they are elevated from the posts of Morcha chiefs to General Secretary and Vice President posts respectively. All other names have changed. Thus there has been complete makeover of State party organization. The new organization will lead the BJP Gujarat in local body polls and the State assembly elections in the next less than two years. DeshGujarat
