Above-Normal Temperatures Persist Across Gujarat; Ahmedabad at 14.2°C, Naliya Coldest at 12.6°C

Ahmedabad: Most parts of Gujarat recorded above-normal temperatures as only mild winter weather continued to prevail across the state, according to the weather report issued by the India Meteorological Department this morning.
Among the state’s major cities, Ahmedabad recorded a maximum temperature of 29.6°C, which was 1.7°C above normal, while the minimum temperature stood at 14.8°C, 2.6°C above normal.
Baroda reported a warmer day with the mercury rising to 31.2°C, 1.8°C above normal, and a minimum temperature of 15.0°C, 2.0°C above normal.
Surat remained the hottest among major cities, registering a maximum temperature of 33.0°C, 2.7°C above normal, with a minimum of 15.7°C, slightly above normal.
Rajkot also witnessed above-normal conditions, recording a maximum temperature of 31.5°C, 2.8°C above normal, and a minimum temperature of 14.2°C, 1.7°C above normal.
Elsewhere in the state, daytime temperatures remained above normal at several locations, including Jamnagar (31.4°C), Bhuj (30.5°C) and Porbandar (30.4°C). Coastal and Saurashtra regions continued to experience relatively warm conditions.
Night temperatures were generally above normal across Gujarat. The lowest minimum temperature was recorded at Naliya (12.6°C), followed by Amreli (13.2°C) and Deesa (13.6°C), while coastal stations such as Okha (19.8°C) and Veraval (18.0°C) reported milder nights.
Morning relative humidity at 08:30 IST ranged from 59% to 91%, with higher values along the coastal belt. Evening humidity levels on Monday declined notably at most inland stations. Weather conditions are expected to remain stable, with dry weather continuing across the state. DeshGujarat
