December 30, 2025
Kutch: At a time when people are looking for cold wave predictions, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light unseasonal rain in parts of Gujarat over the next 48 hours.
As per the latest weather bulletin issued this afternoon, under the influence of a Western Disturbance persisting as a trough in the middle tropospheric westerlies, light rain is very likely at isolated places in Kutch on Tuesday, while the rest of the state is expected to remain dry.
On Wednesday, New Year’s Eve, light rain is likely at isolated places in Banaskantha and Patan in North Gujarat, and in Jamnagar, Morbi, Dwarka and Kutch in the Saurashtra-Kutch region. Thereafter, the IMD predicts dry weather across the entire state and Union Territories till January 6.
Minimum temperatures are expected to remain steady for the next two days, fall by 2–3°C thereafter, and gradually rise again later. DeshGujarat
