ACB Gujarat booked 13 Class-I officers; 213 corruption cases filed in 2025

Ahmedabad: The Anti-Bribery Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today announced that it registered a total of 213 corruption-related cases involving 310 accused in 2025, involving money amounting to ₹1.72 crore. Among the accused, 13 were Class-I officers, 35 Class-II officers, 134 Class-III employees, five Class-IV employees, and 123 private individuals.

As per the ACB, the cases registered during the year included 174 trap cases, 19 decoy cases, 16 disproportionate assets (DA) cases, and four cases of abuse of power.

Department-wise, the highest number of cases were registered against officials of the Home Department (62 cases), followed by the Panchayat, Village Housing and Rural Development Department (26 cases) and the Revenue Department (32 cases).

In addition, the ACB registered 16 disproportionate assets cases during 2025, involving assets worth ₹16.59 crore. These cases included one Class-I officer, 11 Class-II officers, three Class-III employees, and one private individual.

The Anti-Bribery Bureau, Gujarat State, has urged citizens to report any demand for illegal gratification by government officials or employees.
