Centre approves ₹1,078 crore for 41 state road projects in Gujarat from CRIF

Gandhinagar: An amount of ₹1,078.13 crore has been approved from the Government of India’s Central Road Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) for various road projects under the Gujarat State Government, an official statement said.
The approval follows a high-level meeting held in Gandhinagar in November 2025, during which Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari reviewed projects related to state roads and national highways.
Out of the amount approved from the CRIF for works on roads under the State Government, a total of 41 works covering a length of 564.57 kilometers will be undertaken.
Accordingly, Rs. 636 crore has been approved to undertake 11 widening works of state highways covering a total length of 229.20 kilometers in the districts of Patan, Kutch, Banaskantha, Kheda, Mahisagar, Chhota Udepur, Valsad, Amreli, Jamnagar, and Vadodara.
The 23 works of road strengthening and resurfacing, to be carried out over a length of 335.37 kilometers at a cost of Rs. 408.33 crore, will include works in the districts of Ahmedabad, Kheda, Anand, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Tapi, Navsari, Devbhumi Dwarka, Surendranagar, Amreli, Surat, and Jamnagar.
In addition to these works, Rs. 33.80 crore has been approved from the Central Road Infrastructure Fund for seven structural works, which will cover works in the districts of Tapi, Surat, and Dang. DeshGujarat
