Weather Update: Slightly Warmer Day Across Mainland Gujarat, Colder in Saurashtra-Kutch

Ahmedabad: Gujarat witnessed generally clear and dry weather conditions today, with temperatures remaining slightly above normal at most places, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Ahmedabad.

Maximum temperatures across major cities hovered between 28°C and 32°C. Surat recorded one of the highest maximum temperatures at 32.0°C, around 2°C above normal, while Baroda touched 31.4°C and Rajkot 30.9°C, both also warmer than average. Ahmedabad recorded a maximum temperature of 30.0°C, which is about 2°C above normal for this time of the year.

Minimum temperatures showed mixed trends across the state. Coastal and southern parts remained relatively mild, with minimum temperatures of 16.0°C in Surat and 18.6°C in Daman. However, interior and northern regions experienced cooler nights. Naliya in Kutch recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 5.2°C, significantly below normal, while Bhuj reported a minimum of 9.6°C.

Humidity levels were moderate during the morning hours, ranging from around 60 to 80 percent in most cities, and dropped considerably by evening, indicating dry atmospheric conditions. No rainfall was recorded at any IMD observation station across Gujarat during the past 24 hours.

Meteorologists said the stable weather pattern is likely to continue, with dry conditions prevailing across the state. Citizens celebrating Uttarayan enjoyed favorable weather, though early morning chill was felt in parts of Kutch and Saurashtra, while afternoons turned pleasantly warm across most districts.
