600 Kg Akhand Shakti Trishul Unveiled in Ahmedabad; To Be Installed at Ambaji Trishuliya Ghat

Ahmedabad, January 18: In a significant spiritual and cultural initiative, Banaskantha District Collector and Chairman of Shri Arasuri Ambaji Mata Devasthan Trust, Mihir Patel, on Friday inaugurated the grand ‘Akhand Shakti Trishul’ at Vatva in Ahmedabad for public darshan of devotees.

The 16-foot-tall Trishul, weighing approximately 600 kilograms, has been crafted with divine inspiration drawn from the 1,500-year-old Shakti tradition of Uttarkashi. This sacred replica is set to be installed in the near future at the historic Trishulia Ghat in Ambaji, a revered site associated with the Shaktipeeth tradition.

Spiritual Significance and Purpose

Trishulia Ghat, located on the route from Palanpur to Danta, has long been considered spiritually important but has remained difficult to access for pilgrims traveling on foot. The area has also been prone to accidents due to its challenging terrain.

To preserve the sanctity and uniqueness of the site, the Jai Bhole Group proposed installing a replica of the ancient Shakti Trishul of Uttarkashi. The group’s representatives personally visited the Mahant of Uttarkashi and secured formal permission for the creation of this replica.

Once installed, the 16-foot Trishul in Ambaji will stand opposite the original 18-foot Trishul in Uttarkashi, symbolically creating a spiritual boundary and strengthening Ambaji’s identity as a major center of Shakti worship.

Jai Bhole Group’s Contribution

The Jai Bhole Group has played a key role in several religious and service-oriented projects in Ambaji. Notably, the world’s largest ‘Shri Yantra’, installed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Ambaji Temple, was also crafted by the group. Their contributions range from temple adornment to various community service initiatives.

From Accident Zone to Sacred Landmark

With the installation of the divine Trishul, Trishulia Ghat—previously known as an accident-prone area—is expected to transform into a revered pilgrimage destination and a place of spiritual contemplation.

Religious Importance

According to Puranic traditions, this very Shakti Trishul—bestowed upon Goddess Mahishasura Mardini by Lord Shiva—was used by Mata Jagdamba to slay the demon Mahishasura in Mysore. Thereafter, it was consecrated in Uttarkashi, where it has stood for over 1,500 years.

Public Viewing in Ahmedabad

Before its final installation in Ambaji, the replica Trishul has been placed for public darshan at ‘Ahmedabad Engineers’ in Vatva from January 18 to January 21, between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM daily.

Ceremonial and Cultural Program

The event is being organized under the guidance of the Shri Arasuri Ambaji Mata Devasthan Trust, with charitable support from the Jai Bhole Group, Ahmedabad. As part of the inauguration, an audio-visual presentation produced by Kashi Vishwanath Temple was screened, titled Mahishasur Mardini. The film depicted the mythological history and symbolic connection between Mahishasur Vada (Mysore), Ambaji Shaktipeeth, and Trishulia Ghat.

With this initiative, Ambaji is set to gain yet another monumental symbol of faith, devotion, and cultural heritage.
