Drunk driver rams into nine vehicles in Ahmedabad; nabbed

Ahmedabad: A drunk driver rammed into nine vehicles one after another on the Shilaj–Rancharda Road in Ahmedabad late on Sunday night, triggering chaos in the area. The incident involved a Kia car allegedly driven by Nitin Shah, who reportedly lost control of the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
The speeding car hit multiple two-wheelers and four-wheelers, leaving several vehicles badly damaged. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the accident, though the impact caused extensive damage to the vehicles.
Following the collision, angry locals gathered at the spot and apprehended the driver before handing him over to the police. Based on the complaint, the M-Division Traffic Police detained the accused and initiated legal action.
Eyewitnesses said that when the driver stepped out of the car after the crash, he was unable to stand properly and was seen staggering and repeatedly sitting down. The police were informed immediately and reached the scene. The accused was later taken into custody by the traffic police and subjected to a medical examination to confirm alcohol consumption.
A large number of locals gathered at the accident site and expressed strong anger over the reckless driving. While the incident did not result in any casualties, officials said the damage to the vehicles was significant. DeshGujarat
