Gujarat experiences mild winter as minimum temperatures stay above normal

Surat: Minimum temperatures across most parts of Gujarat remained above normal on Wednesday night, according to the weather report issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) this morning.
Ahmedabad recorded a minimum temperature of 16.8°C, which was 4.3°C above normal. Amreli registered 14.6°C (2.6°C above normal), while Baroda reported a notably higher night temperature of 19.0°C, standing 5.6°C above the seasonal average.
Bhavnagar recorded a minimum of 17.2°C (2.9°C above normal), Bhuj 15.4°C (3.5°C above), and Deesa 15.3°C, nearly 4.9°C above normal. Gandhinagar registered 16.0°C, remaining 3.2°C above average.
Among coastal regions, Diu recorded 16.0°C (3.3°C above normal), Porbandar 16.0°C (1.9°C above), Veraval 18.0°C (2.5°C above), and Okha 19.0°C, slightly above normal by 0.2°C. Dwarka recorded 17.8°C, marginally 1.4°C above normal.
Rajkot reported a minimum temperature of 14.8°C, which was 1.9°C above normal, while Surat recorded 17.8°C, remaining 2.5°C above average.
The lowest minimum temperature in the state was observed at Naliya, which recorded 10.4°C, close to normal with a marginal departure of 0.1°C.
