Minor Hindu girl from Gujarat allegedly harassed on train to Ujjain; 7 held

Panchmahal: A man from Timba village in Godhra has alleged that his family was attacked and that his younger daughter was harassed during a train journey to Ujjain. The family was travelling on train number 69183 to immerse the ashes of his late daughter, Shyama.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred when the younger girl went to the washroom during the journey. The accused, allegedly belonging to the Muslim community, misbehaved with her near the train door and attempted to drag her back towards the washroom. The family later reported the matter to the authorities.
Following the incident, protests were held by local organisations in Nagda, after which security forces were deployed to maintain law and order. Police have arrested seven accused, including Abdul Rehman, Mohammed Avesh and Sunny Mallar. They are expected to be produced before a court for further proceedings.
