14 Govt Hospitals in Gujarat to get 1.5 Tesla MRI Machines worth ₹178.54 Crore

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has procured 14 new MRI machines at a total cost of ₹178.54 crore to strengthen diagnostic healthcare services across the state.
Each MRI unit is based on 1.5 Tesla technology and costs approximately ₹12.75 crore. The machines will be installed at GMERS hospitals and Civil Hospitals in multiple districts to improve access to advanced diagnostic facilities.
The new MRI facilities will be made available in Dharpur, Vadnagar, Valsad, Junagadh, Navsari, Rajpipla, Godhra, Porbandar, Morbi, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Jamnagar, and Visnagar.
As per the official press statement, the addition of these machines will enable faster, more accurate, and high-quality diagnostic services for patients. The initiative is also expected to make healthcare more affordable and accessible for people across Gujarat by expanding advanced imaging services in government hospitals. DeshGujarat
