February 06, 2026
Kevadiya: Police have arrested one of the persons accused of posting obscene content on social media against Bharuch MP Mansukh Vasava, while efforts are underway to trace two other accused.
The incident dates back to January 27, 2026, when a workshop under the Viksit Bharat Ji Ramji Jan Jagruti Abhiyan was organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party at Janaki Ashram in Dediyapada. A video of MP Mansukh Vasava’s address at the programme later went viral on social media. Police said the video was edited and circulated on Instagram using highly obscene, indecent and threatening language, allegedly with the intention of tarnishing the MP’s reputation.
Following the circulation of the edited video, the MP’s son-in-law, Vikrant, lodged a complaint at the Rajpipla police station. Acting on the complaint, police arrested Lalo Nagji Damor from the Dahod area and registered an offence. A search operation is ongoing to nab the remaining accused.
