Mercury hovers at 19°C in Ahmedabad as Gujarat records above-normal minimum temperatures
February 07, 2026
Ahmedabad: Gujarat continued to experience relatively warm night conditions, with minimum temperatures across several parts of the state remaining above normal, according to the weather report issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) this morning. Most stations reported departures of 2°C to 6°C above seasonal averages.
Major urban centers reflected the broader warming trend. Ahmedabad registered a minimum temperature of 19.0°C, about 5.8°C above normal, while Vadodara recorded 17.2°C, 3.0°C above the seasonal average. Surat reported 18.8°C, nearly 2.9°C above normal, and Rajkot logged 17.2°C, around 3.2°C higher than usual. These readings indicate subdued winter intensity across major population hubs.
Elsewhere in the state, Bhavnagar recorded a relatively high night temperature of 19.4°C, and Dwarka also reported 19.0°C. In contrast, the lowest minimum temperature in the region state was observed at Naliya at 13.2°C, followed by Deesa at 14.8°C and Union Territory Diu at 15.5°C. Coastal stations such as Okha showed near-normal conditions, with a slight negative departure from average.
Humidity levels during the morning remained moderate to high in most locations, while evening humidity dropped in several inland districts. With dry conditions prevailing statewide and temperatures staying above normal, the current weather pattern suggests a continuation of mild winter conditions across Gujarat in the coming days.
