Air India to shift all flights to Terminal 2 at Ahmedabad Airport from next month

Ahmedabad: Air India will shift all its domestic and international flight operations to Terminal 2 at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport from March 29, 2026, in view of the expansion and renovation work underway at Terminal 1.

Currently, several Air India domestic flights operate from Terminal 1. However, with the new arrangement coming into effect, all Air India departures and arrivals both domestic and international will be handled exclusively from Terminal 2.

Airport authorities said the move is aimed at facilitating ongoing development works and improving passenger facilities at Terminal 1. Passengers travelling on Air India flights from Ahmedabad on or after March 29 have been advised to check their terminal details in advance to avoid last-minute inconvenience.

The airline has also begun notifying passengers about the change through messages and emails.

Notably, in March last year, Star Air and Alliance Air had also shifted their operations to Terminal 2, while SpiceJet moved to Terminal 2 in 2024. Other airlines operating international flights from Terminal 2 include Qatar Airways, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Singapore Airlines, and IndiGo (only international). DeshGujarat
