Ahmedabad: Visitors to the Balvatika Fun Carnival at Kankaria in Ahmedabad will soon be able to enjoy two of its popular attractions at significantly reduced ticket prices, following a review by the Zoo Department of the city civic body aimed at making the facilities more affordable and accessible.

The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has proposed cutting the entry fee for the Butterfly Park from ₹100 to ₹50, while the ticket for the Wax Museum will be reduced from ₹130 to ₹80. The revision is intended to encourage greater visitor participation and allow families and children to benefit more from the recreational and educational offerings at the renovated Balvatika.

Balvatika was redeveloped under a public–private partnership model and inaugurated in July 2025, after which it witnessed a strong public response and increased footfall. Civic officials noted that lowering ticket prices for select attractions would further enhance visitor engagement while maintaining the site’s popularity.

The move is expected to improve accessibility to nature- and learning-based experiences within the park and strengthen Balvatika’s appeal as a family-friendly destination in the city. DeshGujarat
