13 Police Offices in Ahmedabad Operating from Rented Premises

Ahmedabad: As of December 31, 2025, a total of 13 police offices, including the office of the Assistant Police Commissioner in Ahmedabad city, are functioning from rented premises, the Gujarat government informed the Assembly.
According to details shared in response to a question in the Assembly, Deputy Chief Minister (Home) Harsh Sanghavi stated that several police offices have been operating from rented spaces for over a decade, with some continuing in such premises for more than five decades.

In response to another query, the government stated that ₹3,866 in rent has remained pending over the past two years.
