February 25, 2026
Ahmedabad: The Gota area of the city is set to get a major recreational boost as the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) plans to develop a new entertainment zone at Gota Garden. Under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework, Super Star Amusement has emerged as the successful bidder to design, develop, and operate the facility following the tender process, the civic body announced.
A Multi-Faceted Attraction
The project will be developed on a 5,391 square metre plot. The park is designed as a family-friendly destination featuring approximately 40 different attractions. Thrill-seekers can look forward to rides such as the Roller Coaster (Imperator), Pirate Ship, Salambo, Tagada, Tora Tora, Break Dance, and Flying Chair.
For younger visitors, the park will include a dedicated section with 21 children’s rides, including a Baby Coaster, Water Boat, Trampoline, Children’s Bumper Cars, and a Baby Train.
Beyond mechanical rides, the park will feature unique points of attraction such as a telescope for stargazing, live models of dinosaurs and elephants, cartoon characters, and designated selfie points.
Project Timeline and Financials
The development and construction of the park are expected to be completed within one year. Once operational, Super Star Amusement will manage the site for an initial concession period of 10 years, which may be extended by an additional five years subject to approval.
Under the financial agreement, the agency will pay the AMC an annual base rent of ₹300 per square metre and share 25% of its monthly revenue with the corporation. The agency will bear all development costs, including infrastructure for electricity, water, and construction.
Modern Safety and Technology Standards
To ensure transparency and operational efficiency, the park will implement a fully online ticketing system providing real-time data access to authorities. Safety compliance will be mandatory, with the developer required to conduct a comprehensive safety and quality audit before opening to the public.
The facility will be equipped with modern safety features, including:
-
Firefighting systems and emergency exits
-
On-site medical and first-aid facilities
-
Crowd management arrangements and regular preventive maintenance
At the end of the 10-year concession period, the agency will be required to hand over the facility to the AMC in good condition.
The project is expected to significantly enhance the city’s recreational infrastructure by providing a modern and safe entertainment space for residents. DeshGujarat
