Ahmedabad: The Mumbai–Ahmedabad Bullet Train project is currently underway, with construction activities progressing from Sabarmati to Vatva, including pillar erection and segment installation work. As part of the project, steel bridge fabrication and shifting work will be carried out near Anupam Railway Overbridge (ROB), close to Kankaria Railway Yard.

In view of the construction work, Anupam Railway Overbridge will remain closed to vehicular traffic during night hours on selected dates in March.

According to a notification issued by the Ahmedabad City Police Commissioner, vehicular movement will be restricted at both the eastern and western ends of the Anupam ROB from 11 pm to 6 am on the following dates:

• March 9 to 11

• March 20 and 21

• March 26 to 30

The restriction has been imposed to facilitate steel bridge installation and shifting operations related to the bullet train corridor.

Alternative Routes Announced

Motorists have been advised to use the following alternative routes during the closure period:

• From Dedki Garden Kangaroo Circle (Maharana Pratap Circle) via Madrasi Mandir towards Jhagadia Bridge, and then proceed via Dedki Garden.

• From Dedki Garden Crossroads via Siddhi Vinayak Circle, take a left turn towards Railway Colony T-junction, then turn right at LG Choki T-junction and proceed via Jhagadia Bridge towards Khokhra, Hatkeshwar, and CTM.

• From Dedki Garden via Siddhi Vinayak Circle and Giraffe Circle, take a left at Swaminarayan Mandir T-junction, pass via LG Hospital and Jhagadia Bridge towards Khokhra, Hatkeshwar, and CTM.

Police have urged commuters to follow the designated diversion routes and cooperate to ensure smooth traffic management during the construction period. DeshGujarat
