A case has been registered, and police have launched a search for the accused.
According to the complaint, the victim, Jayavardhan Parmar, a resident of Balmukund Society in Mazaur village, is posted at the Shahibaug Police Headquarters. On March 2, he had returned home for lunch around 2 pm and was heading back to duty at approximately 2:45 pm when he was stopped near a chawl in Ekta Nagar.

When Parmar denied the allegation, Rathod reportedly abused him and threatened to call his brother, known as Pepsi Rathod, and an associate, Divyang. Soon after, the three allegedly assaulted the constable with a wooden stick and a truncheon, striking him on the head.
As a crowd gathered at the spot, the accused fled. The injured constable was subsequently taken to LG Hospital for treatment.
