Maharashtra to Send 50 Leopards to Vantara in Jamnagar: Report

Jamnagar: The Maharashtra government has decided to send 50 leopards to the Reliance Foundation’s Vantara wildlife rescue and conservation centre located in Jamnagar, a news report said.
The decision has been taken by the forest department to strengthen conservation efforts for the big cats and to address the growing concern over increasing human–leopard interactions in several parts of Maharashtra, a PTI report said.
It is learnt that the forest department will soon work out the timeline and detailed procedure for shifting the leopards in coordination with the management of the rescue and conservation facility. DeshGujarat
