Mystery Lights Seen in Kutch Sky Were Not Drones

Bhuj: Curiosity spread among residents after several mysterious lights were seen moving across the night sky in Bhuj late on March 6. Many people were surprised to see multiple bright lights appearing together, leading to speculation about whether the sight was a celestial event, drone activity, or some unknown flying object.
According to local reports, the lights were visible in the sky for a short period before suddenly disappearing, which further increased curiosity among people. Several residents recorded videos of the incident on their mobile phones, and the clips quickly went viral on social media, triggering widespread discussion across the city.

However, the mystery was later solved during a preliminary inquiry conducted by the local police. Officials found that the lights were actually LED balloons released during a ceremony held at Prag Mahal in Bhuj.
It is learnt that illuminated balloons were released into the sky as part of the event celebrations, and the glowing balloons created the illusion of unknown lights moving in the sky. A video from the event has also surfaced, confirming that the balloons were released during the function.
Police officials said there was no cause for concern and that the incident was not related to any astronomical activity or unidentified flying object, but was simply the result of decorative balloons released during the programme. DeshGujarat
