Western Railway to Conduct Electric Loco Speed Trial on Himmatnagar – Khedbrahma Line

Himmatnagar: An electric locomotive speed trial will be conducted on the newly constructed 55.672-km broad gauge Himmatnagar–Khedbrahma railway line on Wednesday, and the Railway Department has completed all necessary preparations for the exercise.
After the completion of the gauge conversion work on the 55.672-km railway line, CRS inspection and an electrification loco trial were carried out earlier. An electrification inspection and speed trial were also conducted by the Principal Chief Electrical Engineer (PCEE) on January 8.
After a gap of more than two months, the electric loco speed trial will be conducted again. The trial is scheduled to take place from Himmatnagar to Khedbrahma at around 11 am, after the arrival of the electric locomotive from Ahmedabad.
