Gujarat Govt Reshuffles District In-Charge Secretaries; 21 IAS Officers Given New Responsibilities

Gandhinagar: In a significant administrative move, the General Administration Department (GAD) of the Gujarat government has issued fresh orders for the appointment and reassignment of in-charge secretaries (Prabhari Sachivs) for various districts.

According to the order, the appointed officers will oversee development works and administrative functioning in their respective districts, with special focus on developing talukas (vikas-shil talukas).

Among the key appointments, M. Thennarasan has been assigned charge of Ahmedabad, Shalini Agarwal of Surat, P. Swaroop of Vadodara, Vinod Rao of Gandhinagar, Raj Kumar Beniwal of Kutch, Aarti Kanwar of Jamnagar, Ranjith Kumar J. of Mehsana, and P. Bharathi of Vav-Tharad.

The order also names senior officers for several other districts, including Avantika Singh Aulakh (Anand), Pravina D.K. (Banaskantha), Sandhya Bhullar (Bharuch), and Rajender Kumar (Morbi), among others.

The government has clarified that in districts not mentioned in the latest order, the existing in-charge secretary arrangements will continue.
