Railways Regularises Agra–Asarva (Ahmedabad) Train, 5-Day Weekly Service via Udaipur

Ahmedabad: The Railway Board has approved the regularisation of the 01919/01920 Agra Cantt–Asarva Special train as a regular service, which will now run as 20178/20177 Agra Cantt–Asarva Express, according to an official communication. The train will operate five days a week with multiple commercial stoppages across Rajasthan and Gujarat, improving rail connectivity between North India and Ahmedabad.
As per the schedule, 20178 Agra Cantt–Asarva Express will depart from Agra Cantt at 18:45 hrs and reach Asarva at 11:00 hrs the next day. In the return direction, 20177 Asarva–Agra Cantt Express will leave Asarva at 15:00 hrs and arrive at Agra Cantt at 07:15 hrs. The train will halt at Bayana, Gangapur City, Sawai Madhopur, Keshorai Patan, Bundi, Mandalgarh, Chanderiya, Mavli, Rana Pratap Nagar, Udaipur City, Zawar, Dungarpur, Shamlaji Road and Himmatnagar, among other stations.
The service will run five days a week ex-Agra Cantt except Monday and Tuesday, and ex-Asarva except Tuesday and Wednesday. Primary maintenance of the rake will be carried out at Agra Cantt, while watering facilities will be provided at Sawai Madhopur and Udaipur City. Coach maintenance (CTS) will be done at Udaipur City.
The train will have a composition of 9 General Second Class, 2 GSLR/D, 2 AC 3-tier, 1 AC 2-tier and 10 Sleeper coaches (ICF).
Railway authorities have instructed that the regularisation should be implemented at the earliest convenient date. If required, the inaugural run may be operated as a special service before being linked to the regular timetable.
