Anand: In yet another case of Love Jihad, a 16-year-old Hindu girl working with her mother at a brick kiln in a village near Anand was allegedly raped by a 21-year-old man, Muhammad Irfan Muhammad Maqsud Sheikh, a resident of Khatkiwad in Anand city.

It is learnt that Sheikh frequently visited his uncle’s brick kiln in the village, where he befriended the minor. Seizing an opportunity, he took her to a secluded spot and raped her twice.

Upon learning of the assault from her daughter, the mother immediately filed a complaint at Khambholaj police station. Police registered a case under POCSO Act and relevant rape sections, arrested Sheikh, and produced him in court, which ordered his judicial custody. DeshGujarat
