Gandhinagar: In a major step towards strengthening Gujarat’s position as a semiconductor and electronics manufacturing hub, the state government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Allegiance International Company Limited to promote industrial collaboration with Taiwanese enterprises.
As part of the agreement, an Indo-Taiwan Industrial Park will be developed in the Sanand-Dholera region. The project aims to boost manufacturing in key sectors such as semiconductors, electronics, electric vehicles (EVs), robotics, and related supply chains.
As per the state government, Gujarat is already emerging as a preferred destination for semiconductor investments, with projects worth over ₹1.24 lakh crore currently under development.
The proposed industrial park is expected to attract investments from Taiwanese industries, with an initial investment of around ₹100 crore. The project targets over ₹1,000 crore in foreign direct investment (FDI) and aims to generate approximately 12,000 direct jobs over the next five years.
The partnership will also help strengthen business ties between Indian and Taiwanese companies looking to set up manufacturing operations in the state. DeshGujarat
