PoP structure collapses at Vadodara GSRTC Central Bus Station; One dead

Vadodara: A Plaster of Paris (PoP) decorative portion of the upper structure at the Nine-year old Vadodara Central Bus Station collapsed suddenly on Friday, resulting in the death of one person.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Jagdish Chavda stated that, as per preliminary information, the deceased has been identified as Narsinghbhai Govindbhai Dave, a resident of Chandkheda in Ahmedabad.
Authorities have registered a case of Accidental Death (AD). “Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) teams will be called to collect samples. The site has been secured, and once the sampling process is complete, debris will be cleared with the assistance of the fire brigade and other agencies,” Chavda said. He added that legal action would be initiated if any criminal negligence is found during the investigation.
GSRTC officials have diverted traffic by opening the road behind Janmahal.
Further investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the collapse.DeshGujarat
