Reliance Donates ₹5 Crore for Ambaji Yatri Nivas on Anant Ambani’s 31st Birthday

Ambaji: Marking the 31st birthday of Anant Ambani, Reliance Industries has announced a donation of ₹5 crore for the construction of a multipurpose Yatri Nivas at Ambaji Temple.

Ambaji, one of the most revered pilgrimage centres and among the 51 Shakti Peethas, attracts nearly two crore devotees annually. The Arasuri Ambaji Mata Devasthan Trust has been undertaking several development projects to enhance facilities for pilgrims, including the ongoing Gabbar Corridor project.

To address the growing need for organised accommodation, the trust has initiated the construction of a new multipurpose Yatri Bhavan. The facility, estimated to cost around ₹13 crore, will include approximately 65 rooms, dormitories, and parking facilities, and is expected to benefit nearly one lakh pilgrims annually. Earlier facilities such as Ambika Rest House and Jagadjan Pathikashram have been demolished due to their dilapidated condition and are being redeveloped under the corridor project.

In addition, Reliance has pledged ₹27.5 crore over the next five years towards the ‘Jai Ambe Tithi Bhojan’ scheme, which provides free meals to devotees through the Ambika Annakshetra. Currently, around 7,000 to 8,000 pilgrims avail of this facility daily, and the initiative is expected to serve over 30 lakh devotees annually.

Extending birthday wishes to Anant Ambani, prayers were offered for his long life, health, and prosperity with the blessings of Maa Amba. Kaushik Modi, Administrator and Additional Collector of the Ambaji Temple Trust, stated that Reliance’s support will significantly benefit lakhs of devotees through improved accommodation and food facilities.
