Six in Race for Umreth Bypoll in Gujarat

Gandhinagar: After the completion of nomination filings for the Umreth Assembly by-election, six candidates remain in the contest.
According to a statement from the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Gujarat, the candidates include Bhrugurajsinh Chauhan (Congress), Harshad Parmar (BJP), Maulik Shah (Bharatiya National Lok Dal), Jitesh Sevak (Independent), Nirupa Madhu (Independent) and Mahendra Parmar (Independent). Voting is scheduled for April 23.
