Gandhinagar: After five rounds of counting completed for Umreth assembly seat by-election, ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s candidate Harshad Parmar is leading with +10,000 votes margin. The seat was vacant due to passing away of then sitting BJP MLA late Govindbhai Parmar who is father of BJP candidate in this by-poll Harshad Parmar. The total rounds of counting are 22. The result is expected to be clear in the afternoon. At the end of each round, the rival candidate Bhrugurajsinh Chauhan of Congress party has been trailing.
