High-Profile Liquor Party Busted in Anklav; 18 Including 3 Women from Vadodara Nabbed

Anand: In a late-night crackdown, Anklav police busted an alleged liquor party at a farmhouse in Umeta village and detained 18 people, including three women, all hailing from Vadodara. The raid, carried out around 11 pm on Friday based on a tip-off, led to the seizure of valuables worth over ₹1.04 crore.

According to police, specific information was received about an illegal gathering at a farmhouse owned by Parikshit Pravinbhai Mistry, located on the Umeta–Fatepura road. Acting on the input, a police team raided the premises and found several individuals consuming alcohol inside a shed where tables and chairs had been arranged.

Among those detained is the alleged organiser, Dharmeshbhai Pravinbhai Mistry, a resident of Gotri in Vadodara. All 18 accused are reportedly from posh localities of Vadodara.

During the operation, police seized 17 sealed and 21 empty cans of Budweiser Magnum beer worth ₹8,500. In addition, 22 high-end mobile phones valued at ₹8.70 lakh, including models such as iPhone 15, 16, and 17 were recovered from the accused.

Eight luxury vehicles collectively worth ₹96 lakh were also confiscated. The vehicles include models from brands such as Audi, Mahindra XUV700, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Carens. The total value of the seized items has been estimated at ₹1,04,78,500.

Police have registered a case under the Prohibition Act and initiated further investigation. The alleged liquor supplier and the farmhouse owner are currently absconding and have been declared wanted. Efforts are underway to trace and apprehend them, officials added. DeshGujarat
