Father-Son Duo Brutally Beat Stray Dog in Rajkot, Assault Woman Trying to Save It; CCTV Video Goes Viral

Rajkot: A disturbing case of animal cruelty has emerged from the Ghantshwar area of Rajkot, where a father and son allegedly beat a stray dog nearly to death with wooden sticks. The incident, which occurred in Kalyan Society on Jamnagar Road, was captured on camera and has since gone viral on social media.

It is learnt that, angered by the dog’s barking, the accused, Mahendrasinh Jadeja, and his son, Abhirajsinh, repeatedly struck the animal with sticks, inflicting severe internal injuries. To make matters worse, the dog was tied near a gate at the time of the attack, leaving it unable to escape.

The situation escalated when a local resident, Krinaben Parmar, known for feeding stray animals, intervened in an attempt to save the dog. The video shows that instead of stopping, the accused allegedly pushed and assaulted her. Despite her repeated pleas to release the tied animal, the duo reportedly continued the attack and only stopped after another woman intervened.

Following the incident, a team from the Karuna Foundation reached the spot and rushed the injured dog for treatment. Meanwhile, Krinaben, who was also injured in the scuffle, has approached the University Police Station to file a formal complaint against the father and son. DeshGujarat
