Ahmedabad: A complaint was lodged by a citizen against ITC Narmada after a small flying insect was allegedly found in a sandwich served at the hotel.
Following the complaint, the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) team carried out an inspection of the hotel’s food preparation and hygiene standards. During the investigation, officials noted that the establishment possessed a valid and up-to-date FSSAI license. The pest control certification was also found to be current, indicating regular maintenance.
Inspectors further observed that the kitchen’s waste management system was being properly maintained, and overall cleanliness, along with other required food safety norms, was satisfactory.
Despite compliance with most regulations, action was taken against the Food Business Operator (FBO). A notice was issued, and a fine of ₹15,000 was imposed in connection with the incident. DeshGujarat
