Bharuch: The Jhagadia GIDC police have filed multiple FIRs against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Chaitar Vasava following a heated confrontation at a chemical company in Jhagadia GIDC. The incident occurred in the aftermath of a fatal blast at the facility, during which the legislator was involved in a physical altercation with a tribal youth, a relative of one of the victims who died in the fire.

According to reports, police have registered cases against Vasava for assaulting one Roshan Vasava, obstructing government work, and trespassing into the company’s premises. Given the high-profile nature of the case, authorities have categorised all three FIRs as “sensitive”, restricting their public visibility on the Gujarat Police website.

The conflict erupted on April 27 when Vasava arrived at Metropolitan Exichem, claiming he was there to demand justice for victims of the April 23 blast. When security personnel and officials attempted to stop him at the gate, the MLA allegedly climbed over the company’s fence to gain entry.

Once inside, a verbal argument with Roshan Vasava escalated into a physical confrontation, during which both men were seen slapping each other in a video that has since gone viral. Following the incident, Roshan Vasava alleged that the MLA had “come for the money and not for the welfare of the community”.
