Devbhoomi Dwarka: The district administration has removed illegal religious encroachments from government land along the Okha–Dwarka highway as part of an ongoing anti-encroachment drive.
The demolition was carried out under the supervision of Provincial Officer Amol Awate, with heavy police deployment to maintain law and order and prevent any untoward incidents.
Officials said prior notices had been issued to the encroachers. The removal of illegal structures began early in the morning using JCB machines.
As per the details, encroachments were cleared from Survey No. 32 and Survey No. 34 in the Dwarka municipality area. Around 232 sq m of encroached land was cleared in Survey No. 32, while approximately 300 sq m was cleared in Survey No. 34. In total, about 532 sq m of land, estimated to be worth ₹93.10 lakh, was freed.
