Marine Police Recover 10 More Narcotics Packets off Gujarat Coast

Kutch: The Jakhou Marine Police has recovered 10 more unclaimed packets of suspected narcotics in what is the second such recovery in two consecutive days along the coastal belt, days after the Border Security Force (BSF) seized 18 similar packets from the creek area, indicating a continuing inflow of contraband via sea routes.

As per the police, a patrolling team recovered 10 packets from the Shiyal Bara area between 1 pm and 2 pm on Thursday (April 30). A day earlier, another 10 packets were seized from the Khidratpir Island coast during a separate operation.

All recovered packets have been seized, and further investigation is underway to determine their origin and contents.

Officials noted that the repeated recovery of narcotics along the shoreline points to a pattern of contraband being washed ashore, possibly due to maritime trafficking routes. Security agencies, including the BSF, have intensified coastal surveillance, while local police continue combing operations in vulnerable stretches.

With the number of packets found increasing over the past few days, authorities said the search operation is ongoing, and more recoveries cannot be ruled out. DeshGujarat
