Gandhinagar: Union Home Affairs and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar on May 16 and 17 to review major development projects and inaugurate a new dairy processing facility.

Meeting on Ahmedabad development works on May 16

The Union Home and Cooperation Minister will chair a high-level meeting with officials of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation on May 16 at the South West Zone office in Ahmedabad.

The meeting is expected to focus on several major civic and infrastructure initiatives under the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency, including:

• Development works worth crores of rupees
• Interlinking of lakes
• Preparations for the “Mission 5 Million Trees” plantation drive during the upcoming monsoon
• Speedy completion of ongoing infrastructure projects
• Development-related issues concerning Gandhinagar region

Senior civic officials, including the Municipal Commissioner and other top administrative officers, are expected to attend the review meeting.

Amit Shah to inaugurate Madhur Dairy milk processing plant on May 17

On May 17, Amit Shah will attend the inauguration ceremony of a newly constructed milk processing plant of Madhur Dairy, operated by the Gandhinagar District Milk Producers’ Cooperative Society.

The new plant is located near Dashela village close to Chiloda in Gandhinagar district. The inauguration program is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM.

During the visit, the Union Home Minister will inspect the milk processing facility and later address a public gathering at the venue. The new plant is expected to strengthen dairy processing capacity in the region and benefit local milk producers associated with the cooperative network.
