Ahmedabad: Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is set to elect its new office bearers on May 26, nearly a month after the municipal election results were declared. The Municipal Secretariat has convened a special board meeting at 11 am for the election of the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Standing Committee Chairman.

The corporation is expected to announce the official agenda of the meeting shortly.

Political activity has intensified over the selection of key positions, with discussions already underway regarding the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Standing Committee Chairman, ruling party leader and party whip.
