Ahmedabad: The Estate Department of the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) South Zone on Friday razed 1,120 sq ft of unauthorized industrial construction at Raghuveer Estate (Final Plot No. 27, TP Scheme 87) in Vatva (North) Ward after the expiry of a prior notice issued to the occupants.

In a parallel anti-encroachment operation in Lambha Ward, AMC teams removed 98 temporary and permanent residential and commercial sheds that had illegally encroached upon public land near Baliya Dev Temple.

As part of efforts to enforce town planning regulations, civic authorities also cleared encroachments from 12-metre-wide roads adjoining the Sardar Patel Ring Road under TP Scheme No. 128. During the drive, two plots reserved for public purposes were freed from encroachments, enabling the recovery of government land earmarked for future civic infrastructure and development projects.
